Spring Deck for Models
Select works on film 2021-2024.
A THIRD GENERATION photographer with a background in lighting and production.
Oliver is the current marketing manager for Georges Cameras, Australia’s largest independent camera store, where he runs their marketing events and training. With a commercial studio background and informal training at Red Rocket Studios, run by his father David, Oliver has incredible technical knowledge that helps elevate and control the environment, ensuring that the focus can be on making sure talent is comfortable and that the stories told within the images are narrative-focused and elevated.
Oliver’s work here is a freedom of expression and understanding.
The brand OfOliver was established to focus less on the technical aspects of the work and more on communicating a mood visually. Oliver’s style involves a significant degree of time, care, and consideration in terms of understanding and communicating with the talent to understand how they want to be portrayed so that they feel elevated within the work. Oliver’s briefs are considered fairly in-depth but collaborative, working with each person to encapsulate their personality and create more honest and lived-in images.
Oliver shoots primarily on film and processes and develops everything himself. All photos featured are unretouched and processed in the George Street lab.
Commercial works can be presented for Tinder, Benefit Cosmetics, Tempus Two, and Converse if required.
For a booking with me, you do not need experience; my job is to help you get the best result; you can with whatever experience you have working in front of a camera.
We start with a Facetime call and get a feeling for your experience and needs for this shoot.
Then I put together the brief that you sign off on.
I’m happy to do an additional call due to the references or to discuss our approach with the photos you’ve picked. For newer talent, I’ll often send videos from previous shoots or content I’ve found on the web that will help you understand how we’ll create together.
The goal is for you to feel in control and comfortable. We can discuss movement, direction, location, and styling. I will walk you through the process and produce a natural-looking result.
I process and develop the film myself, which allows me to be quick with all film shoots; black-and-white usually takes me 1-2 weeks, as I have to send them away. All shots are provided via Dropbox in decent resolution. TIFFs can be provided if needed, free of any additional charges.
For more experienced models, we’ll often debrief after, talking about the feedback and movement they need to produce more of to book more editorialized work. With newer talent, I’ll often discuss techniques to create better movement and broader strokes with the approach to the work, as well as advise on approaching agencies and growing a better online presence.
