ZINE: NO. 2 BECOMING
Issue Two of my print magazine theme is becoming; the aim is for the images to feel raw and natural. There is an element of fragility within these images, but at the same time, an understanding is offered, which feels liberating, confusing, and lonely in some. This isn’t something I ask lightly of anyone, and up until the point of print, you are most welcome to back out — you get the final say on the images chosen and used.
Last issue: I lost $3000 printing it; while I sell these at $30 a copy, I only print 100 in total, and by the time you add print and film costs, there isn’t a financially viable way to make money. The fee is only there to cover some costs; I will ensure you get a free printed copy; most models in Issue One also bought a copy.
You can see what Issue One was like here and here, and I can put you in touch with the models if you have questions. I take the duty of care behind this fairly seriously and want you to feel good about being a part of it!
