Shot at Hyams Beach in Jervis Bay on a crisp winter afternoon, this issue came together after a long drive south in search of white sand and clear blue water. Captured on both 35mm film and digital, the session moves from soft light into the deep tones of dusk—ending in one of the most powerful after-dark sets I’ve made. Lara’s piercing blue eyes and calm strength bring something honest and striking to every frame.

This was our first time working together, but the connection was instant. The beach was quiet, the light gentle, and despite the cold setting in, Lara carried the shoot with energy and presence. It’s one of my favourite beach stories to date—unfussy, atmospheric, and deeply considered.
