ONLINE with Sophie Potter
My latest magazine with Sophie Potter is 180 pages long, including the cover and thank-you notes. It’s in A4 format and available as a digital download.
Sophie and I spent weeks planning this shoot. I had imagined something sunlit and strong, but the weather had other ideas. Instead of waiting for perfect conditions, we chose to embrace the storm. We headed to Tallebudgera Creek and Elephant Rock, two iconic Gold Coast locations that usually feel bright and postcard ready. This time they were dark, windswept, and completely unpredictable.
From the first frame, the conditions shaped everything. Heavy skies, constant wind, shifting light. It would have been easy to reschedule. Sophie didn’t hesitate. She committed fully, braving the elements without complaint and giving the work everything it needed. That commitment changed the outcome entirely. The locations became almost unrecognisable, and that transformation is what makes this issue so striking. It feels moody, textured, and unlike anything I have created there before.
We didn’t try to overpower the weather. We worked with it. Let the storm dictate the rhythm. Let the environment tell the story.
This issue captures everything I want this project to stand for: intention, trust, and collaboration under real conditions.
You can find Sophie at @sophieepotter.
You can also get each issue at a discount via my Patreon, where your support helps me continue creating these shoots—funding travel, film, and time. I’m grateful to everyone who has followed this project, and I hope you enjoy the work as much as I enjoyed making it.
The price is listed in AUD, equivalent to approximately $22 USD.
