ONLINE with Annie Seccombe
My latest magazine with Annabella Seccombe is 150 pages long, including the cover and thank-you notes. It’s in A4 format and available as a digital download.
Annie and I shot this one at Snapper Rocks in Currumbin, starting the afternoon as the light softened across the coastline. It was one of those sessions where everything felt calm from the beginning, even with the crowds, and the direction revealed itself as we moved through it.
I had planned to shoot elsewhere, but driving past, I knew we had to stop. It’s a place that means a lot to me, tied to some of my favourite shoots and some incredible sunsets. As the afternoon went on and the sun dropped, the space opened up and everything settled.
Annie has a background in dance, and it shows. She moves with ease, picks up direction quickly, and brings her own energy into the frame. There was no need to push or over-direct, we simply followed the feeling and let it unfold.
As the light dropped behind the clouds, it softened into something really beautiful for the final frames.
This issue is shot entirely on film, shaped by the environment and the connection rather than a fixed plan. The result feels warm, natural, and considered.
This issue reflects everything I want this project to stand for: intention, trust, and creating work that feels real.
You can find Annie at @annabella.seccombe.
You can also get each issue at a discount via my Patreon, where your support helps me continue creating these shoots—funding travel, film, and time. I’m grateful to everyone who has followed this project, and I hope you enjoy the work as much as I enjoyed making it.
The price is listed in AUD, equivalent to approximately $22 USD.
