ONLINE with Teagan Simms-Mcbriar

A$34.00

This magazine with Teagan Simms-Mcbriar is 123 pages long, including the cover and thank-you notes. It’s in A4 format, available as a digital download, and shot entirely on film.

Teagan and I shot this issue at Point Peron, during my first trip to Perth. I had rented a car, and we drove more than an hour and a half from Fremantle without really knowing what kind of afternoon we were going to get.

The morning had been incredibly cloudy, and it even rained on the drive down. It still felt stormy after the hurricane had passed, but the weather cleared for us, and by the end of the afternoon we were given the most incredible sunset.

The drive down gave us time to yap, talk about her experience on and off camera, and get comfortable before shooting. Teagan was confident, funny, and easy to work with, and we did not take the shoot too seriously, which gave this issue a bit more bite.

Personality-wise, I think Teagan and I saw eye to eye more than anyone else on the trip. She really suited ONLINE, not just visually, but in the way she understood the feeling of it. The styling, the props, the location and the weather all came together in a way that felt playful, strong and a little sharper than some of the other Perth issues.

This issue is built around wind, stormy weather, late sun, rocks, water, and the feeling of chasing something without knowing if it would actually work. It is another issue from my Perth trip, and one I feel very lucky we pulled off.

This issue reflects so much of what I want ONLINE to stand for: trust, presence, and creating work that feels real.

You can find Teagan at @teags.sm.

You can also get each issue at a discount via my Patreon, where your support helps me continue creating these shoots, funding travel, film, and time. I’m grateful to everyone who has followed this project, and I hope you enjoy the work as much as I enjoyed making it.

The price is listed in AUD, equivalent to approximately $22 USD.
